Terms of service

The legal rules for using this site. By placing an order, you're agreeing to these. We've tried to keep them short and human — the lawyer-y bits are unavoidable but we've kept them to the minimum.

TL;DR · the short version

Order in good faith and we'll do the same. You buy stuff, we ship it. 14-day returns, no questions. Don't try to defraud us, hack the site, or resell our gear as your own. If we mess up, we'll make it right.

Using the site

By using billuptheworld.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site — there are plenty of other streetwear brands out there.

You must be at least 16 years old to make an account. If you're under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms with you.

Orders & pricing

Placing an order

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We accept that offer when we charge your card and send the confirmation email. Until then, we can decline an order for any reason (usually: out of stock, suspected fraud, or shipping address we can't deliver to).

Pricing & mistakes

We try to keep pricing accurate, but humans run this site and humans make typos. If we list something at an obviously wrong price (say, a $185 tracksuit listed at $1.85), we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We'll never charge more than what you saw at checkout.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your card for the full order total, including tax and shipping.

Drops are timed

We sell pieces in drops — limited-run releases that open and close on schedule. When a drop closes, those pieces are gone. No backorders, no waitlist guarantees, no exceptions for someone who "missed it by a minute."

Shipping

We ship from Mount Vernon, NY via USPS. Most orders ship within 2–3 business days. Detailed rates and timing are in our shipping policy.

Risk of loss passes to you when USPS scans the package as delivered. If something happens after that (porch theft, lost-after-delivery), we'll work with you to file a USPS claim, but we can't unconditionally guarantee replacement.

Returns & refunds

14-day return window from delivery for a full refund, item must be unworn / unwashed / tags attached. You cover return shipping unless the item arrived defective or wrong. Full details in our returns policy.

Intellectual property

Everything on this site — the brand name "Billup The World", the butterfly logo, photography, graphics, illustrations, written content, code — belongs to Billup The World LLC or our licensors.

You can:

  • Buy our products and wear them however you like
  • Post photos of yourself wearing them, including with @billuptheworld tagged
  • Share product pages on social media via the built-in share buttons

You can't:

  • Use our brand name, logo, or product imagery to sell competing products
  • Scrape our site, copy our copy, or steal our photography
  • Resell our products as your own brand or in a way that suggests partnership
  • Buy products with intent to resell on third-party marketplaces (we may cancel orders we suspect of being for resale)

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Attempt to hack, scrape, brute-force, or otherwise mess with the site
  • Place fraudulent orders or chargeback orders you actually received
  • Use stolen payment info — we screen for this and report to law enforcement
  • Harass our team, our customers, or our partners
  • Use the site to launder money, run schemes, or do anything illegal

We can suspend or ban accounts that violate these — usually with one warning, but not always.

Warranty disclaimer

The site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In plain English: we make our pieces in small batches by hand, and they're built to last — but we can't guarantee they'll meet every individual expectation. If something arrives defective or doesn't match the description, we'll make it right (refund or replacement). For other issues, refer to our return policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We're not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages — even if we knew they were possible. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply to the maximum extent allowed.

Disputes & arbitration

If you have a problem, email us first at hi@billuptheworld.com — we resolve almost everything in 24 hours.

If we can't work it out, disputes are governed by New York law and resolved through binding arbitration in New York County, except that either of us can pursue small claims in our local courts for amounts under $10,000.

You waive the right to participate in class actions against us. Disputes will be resolved on an individual basis.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email to active customers at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
